Trocadero is an alternative band formed in 1997 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Once frontman Nico Audy-Rowland was introduced to Red vs. Blue in 2003, he liked it and sent Rooster Teeth a short composition inspired by the animation. It soon became the show's opening theme, and started a long collaboration that led to many songs, including "Blood Gulch Blues" and "A Girl Named Tex", which wound up making the band's debut album, Roses Are Red, Violets Are Blue. In 2007, the band was joined by Martha Marin on slide guitar and vocals, and Jeff Williams on keyboard. Williams wound up becoming the composer for the only seasons of Red vs Blue not scored by Trocadero - namely eight through ten - before leaving to score another RT animation, RWBY. Trocadero continues to write the majority of the Red vs. Blue music in collaboration with David Levy, most of whom are featured in their albums.

Trocadero have been featured in many Red vs. Blue events, most notably the RTX convention every year but 2015, 2016 and 2018.
