Skout is one of the main protagonists in Nomad of Nowhere and first appeared in "The Dreaded Nomad." While originally Toth's right hand, she later acts independently and often as a companion to the Nomad.
Backstory[]
Not much is known about her background, other than she was taken in at the Oasis at some point and serves under Toth, who she admires and does everything she can to help in all endeavors.
Skout is not very strong, or at least not trained, though she is sturdy enough to carry an extremely large backpack filled with many items including her hardcover travel books (which would add significant weight alone) with relative ease and little exhaustion.
Her homeland seems to be around the Iron Border. The status of her family is unknown. It is unclear if there is any relation to the wizard's daughter from the Nomad's memories that she resembles.
Appearance[]
Skout has very poofy red hair, with a sharp resemblance to the wizard's daughter 100 years ago.
Personality[]
Skout is initially shown to be a bookworm, loving to read and learn. However, this is often mocked by those around her who expect to be able to just overpower any obstacle they come across, which due to her physique and timidness she is unable to do. She is very kind to most people, and rarely shows any kind of aggression to anyone, even those that she is opposed to.
She has extreme loyalty to Toth, and often acts as her conscience or the sole voice of reason in situations where Toth's hotheadedness and obsession with saving her people by pleasing Don Paragon (currently by way of catching the Nomad) get the better of herself (which is rather often). She is always the first to stand in Toth's defense whenever things go wrong, as well as tries to cheer her up at any time. However, when she realizes that Toth has become so obsessed with catching the Nomad that she is setting aside even her care for Skout, she decides to take action and leave, eventually teaming up with the Nomad.
