Here to share a new blog post from Fandom regarding the upcoming changes to the platform -- it includes some context on the Unified Community Platform (UCP for short) and details on how the MediaWiki upgrade and feature changes will be happening in the next few months.
I have been going around informing wikis about Fandom's newest blog about the Global Taxonomy project. To put it simply: the "related pages" between different wikis should start becoming more connected based on the relationship between their content, not unlike what Netflix does (recommending content based on what a person watched.)
The blog includes a lot more details. I reckon Rooster Teeth Wiki would connect a lot with other RT wikis (RWBY, Red vs Blue, etc.)
Hey! I'm passing by to share yet another blog (just making sure these don't go unseen, particularly when they're relevant to editors.)
This one is about Fandom's projects for Editor Rewards. You can find all the information in the blog, so not much to add on my part - feel free to check it if you wish, and comment if you have any questions/feedback.
I rewatched episode 1 of Minecraft and Michael failed more than Gavin that episode. The only contribution Gavin did that led to people dying was from placing the lava.
The intro statement for Minecraft (Gavin's failed page) said Gavin has either died or killed others in hilarious ways, but since he didn't die that episode and didn't actually kill people by his own hands should it even be included in the post? Jack hit Michael into the lava accidentally and Geoff fell into the lava, but those were the only two deaths (all technically caused by people other than Gavin). Yes, them dying from lava was funny, but it shouldn't be included under Gavin's failures, more like Geoff, Jack and Michael's.
Either that or rewrite the intro statement so it just says Gavin has done things that has led to laughter, either from dying (whether accidental, mob- or player-related), killing others by his own hands or placing a certain item, or just from being a goof in general, etc, these are his moments.
Three pages were moved by an unconfirmed user (1, 2, 3). To combat this, a large selection of pages have been protected from new accounts. If the problem persists, we will consider making Special:MovePage an admin right only.
Perhaps that article implied that Gavin's failure cascaded other deaths. However, I wouldn't blame someone for removing unnecessary information from that article.
Heya! It's been a while. I'm here to bring you more news from Fandom, a big one - a new Analytics Admin Dashboard feature has just been introduced, giving admins access to interesting wiki data. You can now understand better how the wiki is doing and may plan certain things/make decisions based on what you can see there.
The page Help:Analytics dashboard was also made available if you have any questions about the feature. But please ask me if you have any other questions - I’m in direct contact with staff and would be able to find out from them.
Feel free to spread the word with the other admins. I hope this is useful! (apparently, people the Funhaus page :P)
Hi! My name is Playsonic2, and I wanted to introduce myself to the active admins as the Fandom Wiki Manager for Rooster Teeth Wiki. I am here simply to help the community when needed and be a liaison to full-time Fandom staff.
If you or anyone else have a question or issue I may be able to assist with (wiki, templates, design, etc.) please feel free to drop a message in my message wall.
