Melinda is a character from the Nomad's past, 100 years ago, in Nomad of Nowhere and first appeared in "The Dreaded Nomad."
Backstory[]
When we first see her, she is with her Papa who has just animated a scarecrow.
Appearance[]
Melinda has large red hair which she had in a ponytail when younger but lets it poof out more when older, though she keeps it short. She has blue eyes. She wears a green robe at all times, though eventually starts changing her appearance through illusion magic to blend in when visiting towns after wanted posters for her and the Nomad start appearing (at the time they are labeled as "The Witch and The Knight").
Personality[]
She is kind and loving, caring greatly for her father and eventually for the Nomad during their journeys. Even though she insists on leaving the Nomad and erases his memories, she does so out of the desire to protect him (due to his being both somewhat naive and unwilling to hold back in trying to protect her, as per his instructions from Papa). However, she does not succeed in keeping her promise to eventually return to him, though he doesn't remember this (or anything about her) until much later.
Magical Abilities[]
Melinda has only been shown to use a few kinds of magic. Those known are:
- Pyromancy (such as creating, enhancing, and controlling fire)
- Memory-erasing magic (which she states she "need(s) to get better at"); this also results in the victim passing out when she's done.
- Appearance-transformation magic, which she uses to replace her outfit and alter her hairstyle instantly.
