Matt Peake is the main video editor at Rooster Teeth Productions west coast division, Funhaus. He was a former employee for Machinima, where he worked on Inside Gaming, before coming to Rooster Teeth. After Bruce's departure, he shares managerial duties with Omar.

Pre-Rooster Teeth[]

Matt grew up in Redwood City, California where he eventually earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Video and Film Production at Brooks Institute of Photography in Ventura, California. He attended the institute from 2003-2006.

Matt served in the United States Army, and was a crewman on a Bradley Fighting Vehicle.

Personal life[]

Matt enjoys playing video games, playing and watching sports, reading, yoga classes, jazz music, hanging with his friends and aiming to bless others. "Good quality of life is a wonderful thing. I hope to spread and forward that wherever I go."

He was formerly Bruce Greene's roommate, but found his own place since getting married.

Matt is a practicing Christian.


In July of 2018, Matt received some controversy and criticism due to his political views.

Several users on Twitter posted images of Matt Peake’s personal YouTube channel that listed several political videos he had liked that were public, the videos included were ones from PragerU, which is considered the most controversial political channels as well as controversial figures such as Paul Joseph Watson, Stefan Molyneux and Tim Pool. Fans of Funhaus accused Matt Peake of being “alt right” in defending alt right ideologies.

Matt Peake in response posted a political compass image that showed him being a centred leftist as well as a sad face drawn on as a joke to debunk the rumours of him being alt right but to the dismay of some people still believe he is still alt right. Since then Matt Peake has not touched on this situation.
