Joshua "Josh" Dillon Flanagan (born January 5, 1984) is a staff member of Rooster Teeth. He is an American screenwriter, director, actor, on-camera host and content producer known for his work with Rooster Teeth, serving as a co-creator, show-runner, creative writer/director and actor host where he is generally involved with in the RT Live Action department and RT Animation department cartoons such as Day 5 (2016), Ten Little Roosters, The Eleven Little Roosters (2017) and Lazer Team (2015). He's also worked on iBlade and RWBY.

Josh has directed the murder mystery show Ten Little Roosters and its sequel, as well as Day 5. He has also made appearances on On The Spot. His Rooster Teeth profile can be found at Josh

Early Life and Education

Before fame, he enrolled in the United States Army in July of 2002 and served a tour of duty in Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2003-2004 and was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge and Army Commendation Medal. Josh also performed in a variety of roles, including rifleman, grenadier, dismount machine gunner, CO driver, armorer, Bradley driver and gunner, and eventually dismount team leader. He was then promoted to the rank of Sergeant in less than three years. He earned the rank of Sergeant by the time and he was honorably discharged in July of 2005.

After leaving the military, he attended the University of Texas at Austin, where he received a degree in television, radio, and film. (Bachelor of Science in Radio-Television-Film). Activities and Societies included: University Filmmakers Alliance (President, 2007-2008) Cinepreneurs Feature Filmmaking Organization (co-Founder and Director, 2008-2009), (Executive Producer, 2009-2010). While studying in University, Josh focused coursework on script writing, producing, acting and directing for film, television, and interactive media. After graduating in 2011, he won the Longhorn Showcase Screenwriter Award.

Career

Riding Shotgun with Zach Anner: 2012-2013

From July of 2012 until August of 2013, Josh served as a Producer on Riding Shotgun, the first travel show "for the Internet, by the Internet!", a co-production of Google and Breadpig.
