Hardcore Tabletop is a Achievement Hunter board game web-series available to First members only. Though similar to the show Let's Roll, the series will continue independent of one another.
In this series, Rooster Teeth and Achievement Hunter co-founder and on-camera host, Geoff Ramsey, attempts the ultimate bid to turn his own employees against each another as they play the most intense, high-stakes Monopoly game of their lives. With a pot of very real, cold hard cash on the line, friendships and careers may be broken and destroyed, tensions boil, and secrets are revealed as it brings each of the employee players' competitive side, as they will do literally anything it takes to win.
Format[]
A group of Achievement Hunters plays board games. Geoff runs the games, acting as the banker in the Monopoly series, for example. All games are played for real money.
The show has a very high production value. It features an intro with a theme, and reality TV-style interview cuts and voice-over. The set is filled with custom-made props, and each cast member is outfitted in a costume (though Ryan's costume is simply his everyday outfit). Each episode's length is roughly the same as a televised show in a half-hour slot, with the first episode running about 22 and half minutes.
Monopoly gets cutthroat in Hardcore Tabletop, Rooster Teeth’s new unscripted show. Pitting six Rooster Teeth employees against one another, the first season will feature an epic game of Monopoly — with equally epic costumes — played with real money and a real jail in a winner-takes-all brawl that will see the champ collect everything in the bank at the end of the season.[1]
In Season 1, in which Monopoly is played, Alfredo, Jack, Jeremy, Matt, Michael and Ryan are contestants in the game, while Geoff runs the game as Mr Monopoly . Lindsay acts as the "bailiff", taking people to the jail, and Elyse plays the role of referee, explaining rules and such.
In Season 2 Hardcore tabletop World Series Geoff returns as Mr Monopoly with Michal Jones as Sheriff Jones the "Bailiff" and Jack Pattillo as Ref. Pattillo the referee. The contestants are Achievement Hunter Alfredo, Youtuber Chilled Chaos, Bruce Green of Funhaus, Actor Dante Basco, Youtuber Criken and Kinda Funny Greg Miller.

Trivia[]
- Ryan's costume is simply his everyday work clothes. He believed his co-workers were joking about the concept of the show and the costumes until they all showed up to the filming in full regalia.
- The costumes were added to make fun of people who show up to poker tournaments in ridiculous outfits.
- Matt's token is a mustache that much resembles a mustache Geoff sported for some time, while Alfredo's token is a very large nose, clearly a reference to Gavin.
