"Funhaus is a Rooster Teeth thing.

Funhaus is a bunch of people who play games. Does that mean we only play games? No - we've also got podcasts and fan Qs&As...about games.

Mainly.

We're Adam Kovic, Bruce Greene, James Willems, Lawrence Sonntag, Elyse Willems, Matt Peake, Omar de Armas, Dan Schneider, Don Casanova, Jacob Fullerton, and Adam Brouillard. We'll play everything from GTA to the crappiest games we can find. We'll also be doing regular news content with The Know (Mondays and Wednesdays), Let's Play, event coverage, live streams, fan events, and collaborations with any Rooster Teeth friends and colleagues who wouldn't be embarrassed to be seen with us.

Subscribe to Rooster Teeth to see videos one day early along with our Dungeons and Dragons series: http://funhaus.roosterteeth.com/sponsorship/?r=funhaus"

History and Creation

The group, formerly known as Inside Gaming, a division of Machinima had announced via a YouTube video on 29 January 2015 that they were leaving Inside Gaming and Machinima and that they were going independent from their former network while still residing and working in Los Angeles, California. [1]

On February 3 2015, Burnie tweeted that he and Jon Risinger were visiting L.A, and confirmed that they were going to establish new Rooster Teeth offices.[2] Funhaus also officially joined Twitter on February 3, 2015 at 4:50 p.m.

On February 5 2015, Burnie announced via his journal on the Rooster Teeth website that Funhaus was officially joining the Rooster Teeth family and community,[3] and that they're officially a division of Rooster Teeth just like The Know and Achievement Hunter.[4][5][6] Shortly after, Funhaus officially joined YouTube released a welcome video via their YouTube page introducing their channel's cast.

The video also set the challenge in which if Funhaus reached 100k subscribers by Sunday February 8, that they were going to release a podcast early. It was revealed shortly after that they had reached their target of 100k subscribers in less than 12 hours via Twitter.[7] By February 17, Funhaus had passed 300k subscribers.[8]

Dudesoup

Funhaus was officially launched via Twitter on February 16, 2015.[9] Their YouTube channel also started uploading YouTube videos.

Shortly after, Funhaus released their first podcast, titled "Dude Soup", with Burnie guest starring. The podcast revealed an in-depth look at Funhaus, their plans and expectations as well as future projects.

On February 20, 2015 (Funhaus and Rooster Teeth employee Adam Kovic's 30th birthday), Funhaus collaborated with Achievement Hunter and Rooster Teeth at their first Let's Play Live! concert, held at the Moody Theater in Austin, Texas. Almost 6 months later, at RTX 2015, Funhaus also began hosting their panels. They also collaborated with Achievement Hunter in Rainbow Six Seige.

On February 9, 2016, Sean Poole announced his departure from Funhaus and Rooster Teeth to return to his hometown. He left on February 12th.[10]

On April 5, 2016, Joel Rubin announced his departure from Funhaus and Rooster Teeth. He left on April 8, 2016. Joel is now working at SourceFed as Director of Programming.[11][12]
