The Eleven Little Roosters (Web Mini-Series), also known as Eleven Little Roosters and abbreviated as ELR, was an American Rooster Teeth live-action comedy, interactive spy murder mystery Mini-web series thriller created by Rooster Teeth's Josh Flanagan and co-directed and co-written by Blaine Gibson and Flanagan. It stars Zach Anner, Burnie Burns, Barbara Dunkelman, Gavin Free, Ashley Jenkins, Geoff Ramsey and Gus Sorola. that serves as the sequel and Spiritual Successor to the 2014 Rooster Teeth series Ten Little Roosters, acting as an spy thriller that pits international assassins against each other.[1]

While the original series was a traditional Ten Little Murder Victims story, the new series is something of an expansion and pits international assassins against each other. On December 1, 2016, a journal by Josh Flanagan revealed how the show will work this time around, along with the release dates. Work on the project was announced at RTX 2016.[2]

The main show will have a prologue called "Assassin Superstars 360" - set to premiere on roosterteeth.com  for FIRST members on December 20. The Eleven Little Roosters main show premiered on the Rooster Teeth website on January 16, 2017 and after running for a total of 8 episodes, it's final episode was released and ended on March 6, 2017. This time, with the exception of the survivor, characters will be original characters, and not RT employees playing fictional versions of themselves.

This time around the game is to guess who will kill whom each week, as opposed to Ten Little Roosters' Weapon and Victim. It isn't just individuals this time, the 11 "Roosters" are spy agencies,  which can have more than one representative, such as the 4-man "Sex von Schaukel Boyz" (A Sex Swing cover band played by James Willems, Bruce Greene, Lawrence Sonntag and Adam Kovic).

Summary[]

Welcome to the Rooster Corps -- a coalition of eleven spy agencies, allied in pursuit of world peace. But when one of the "little roosters" is duped into killing another, it's up to the survivors to root out an evil saboteur before they can acquire the ultimate super weapon -- and it's up to YOU to crack the case! The successor to Rooster Teeth's Ten Little Roosters, The Eleven Little Roosters pits international assassins against each other in an original, interactive spy comedy. Sit back and enjoy a thriller with twists and turns... OR get in on the action, with mind-bending puzzles hidden in every episode that'll force you to rethink how you watch a web series.

Story[]

After Ryan, the sole survivor of Ten Little Roosters dinner party massacre successfully and narrowly escapes the hands of a brutal, hostile, cynical, treacherous, backstabbing and old-blooded serial killer (Barbara), he is recruited by an international spy agency to root out The Mole in a group of 18 assassins and spies from 11 agencies around the world, part of a single alliance called the Rooster Corps that is in pursuit of world peace. With each episode, the audience will guess who will kill who, as opposed to the original's weapon and victim. In short, he now must help the "Rooster Corps", an international spy agency, in finding a mole inside the corporation who's trying to eliminate all the other parties.

Format[]

After the success of TLR, creator Josh Flanagan wanted to "fully deliver" on the concept by expanding the cast, scope, and storyline and adding new levels of interaction, describing it as, "Avengers: Infinity War of Rooster Teeth."[3] Each episode, characters will be killed and viewers who predict plot points by "synthesizing" clues such as hidden QR codes, in-dialogue hints, and audio cues will win prizes.[4] It will feature cameos and 360 video segments.[5]

In Venice, Burnadicci inadvertently says the trigger words to Wilhelm during a confrontation: Wilhelm repeatedly stabs Burnadicci with his bayonet just as the rest of the Boyz arrive, who persuade him to rejoin the gang, all the while ignoring Burnadicci's reaches for help and leaving him to die. With aid from Geoff, Moose uncovers the third false assassin, Christoph Weiss. Weiss is in reality Chris Demarais, one of the Rooster Teeth employees who was seemingly killed in Austin, Texas and woke up from the hospital as an amnesiac. Agent Gibson confronts Gavin the 3rd to ask why he doesn't want to bang him, and vows revenge after he's rejected. The Boyz are standing on a catwalk at the Aerial Choreography Dance Studio. Griffon arrives to kill them and Weiss defends them by cutting the ropes holding the platform together. At the control center, Jinx and Gibson prepare to destroy the remote device for the Hammer of Cock with rigged explosives, but find that it has been replaced by Agent Knuckle, who was also on orders from the Big Cock to transport the device and ambush the saboteur. With the explosives ticking on a timer, Jinx and Knuckle battle, while Gibson misinterprets it as a "sexy pillow fight". In the confusion, Jinx is unable to stop the explosives before they detonate, and are all killed in the resulting explosion.

Trivia[]

  • Initially, Meg Turney was going to be in The Eleven Little Roosters, but in between the release date of the teaser trailer and production, she left Rooster Teeth. As a result, her character was replaced in favour of Ashley Jenkins' Agent Jinx.
  • Lindsay Jones is the only Rooster Teeth member who had a prominent role in Ten Little Roosters that wasn't in the starring cast of Eleven Little Roosters. Instead, they cameo alongside Jeremy Dooley as antagonists for the hinted sequel, Twelve Little Roosters in an after-credits sequence.
  • Barbara Dunkleman and Gavin Free are the only actors whose characters appear in all 8 episodes.
  • Burnie Burns, Miles Luna, Barbara Dunkleman, Ryan Haywood, Gavin Free, Michael Jones, Gus Sorola, and Adam Ellis are the only returning characters from Ten Little Roosters.
    • Ironically, here Barbara and Ryan portray characters on the same side; in TLR Barbara was the main villain and Ryan the sole surviving main protagonist.
  • Geoff Ramsey had previously stated that he wasn't interested to be involved with non-Achievement Hunter-related Rooster Teeth content outside of AH (excluding "Red vs. Blue"), which included live action filming and animated cartoons, so his appearance in the teaser for The Eleven Little Roosters (2017) in August 2015 created a major buzz. It turned out that Josh Flanagan had told Ramsey that the teaser was just a teaser thrown together at the last minute and not an indication of actual casting, but when the time came to make the series, Flanagan cast Ramsey anyway. Furthermore, Geoff detests live action unless it's directed by Blaine Gibson since Blaine is more relaxed, lenient (usually includes most bloopers into the final cut) and doesn't make everyone do multiple shoots if the first shoot isn't perfect for him like Matt Hullum does.
  • Michael Jones, one of the returning cast members from TLR, now receives a much longer, larger, and more prominent role as the hidden villain (Gavin's) assistant, right-hand man and second personality in this sequel of ELR. He appears for a total of 4 episodes, dying at the end (with Gavin), in contrast to the prequel TLR where he only had a short-lived role in the first episode with his character being quickly killed off as the first victim (and back then, Gavin was the second victim killed, as they both were busy filming Lazer Team), with Michael's character re-appearing again through a series of flashbacks in the last episode of TLR.[12]
    • Here, Jack Pattillo (also of Achievement Hunter) is the one whose character is killed off before the end of the first episode due to a preference for an MC role over acting.
  • In episode 3, Marquis is reading a part of the script of an episode in RWBY Volume 4.
  • Most of this series is actually filmed in Austin, Texas
