Jump in the Dude Soup -- all the gaming, nerd culture, and meat-packing industry commentary you can handle.
— Show description on Funhaus website

The Dude Soup Podcast is the weekly hour-long official Funhaus podcast show where the Funhaus staff (and occasionally guests from Rooster Teeth) would get together to and discuss and talk about all manner of topics pertaining to gaming, the latest hot topics in video games, their current daily lives, Funhaus, and highlight fanart that was submitted by the fan community with one of the crew members playing a game as the discussion goes on as well as anything else which happens to take their fancy.

History[edit | edit source]

The name "Dude Soup" was originally suggested as a title for the channel, but was later abandoned for the name Funhaus.[1] A reasonable number of people took a liking to the name, which led to the podcast being known by that name.[2] Dude Soup has gone live in front of an audience four times, once at RTX 2015 in Austin for episode 28, episode 30 at YouTube Space and episode 41 and 48 at an Improv studio. They've also appeared on that lame prop house of an RT set in episode 38 and 47.

Format[edit | edit source]

Episode 212 with special guest: Joel Rubin

The podcast stars four (Adam Kovic, Bruce Greene, Lawrence Sonntag, and James Willems) members of Funhaus, with occasional guest appearances from other Rooster Teeth employees. Dude Soup focuses on comedy, gaming news and game culture in general. Funhaus also hosts a FAQ Podcast. Dude Soup now includes Hard Nettin

Availability[edit | edit source]

The podcast is typically uploaded on a Wednesday to the Funhaus YouTube channel. It's uploaded to Soundcloud and iTunes the day after the YouTube release.

1 February 7, 2015 Once upon a time we started a new YouTube channel called ButtBot. But then we thought about T-shirt designs and decided that might not be a great idea.

So we renamed the channel FUNHAUS, and invited Rooster Teeth to pay us to do stupid videos. They agreed!
Here's our first podcast.
And everyone lived happily ever after. The end.

2 February 14, 2015 Is Fallout 4 coming out? We have no idea, but that sure as shootin' ain't gonna stop us from talking about it for an hour. Bethesda did announce that they would have their very first E3 press conference this year, so that's gotta mean something.

All this, plus YOUR comments, and an in-depth discussion of Jupiter Ascending (why god why) in this episode of Dude Soup!
