Dan Godwin born on April 17, 1979, is best known as the voice actor of Donut. Other than his work in Red vs. Blue, Dan is especially known for enjoying grilled cheese sandwiches.
Burnie has made several references on the Rooster Teeth Podcast of how he came to know Dan. While training new hires at "the tech company", Burnie noticed that Dan's application was never submitted; he just showed up for training [1]
While Dan was more present in Rooster Teeth's early years, he has since focused on his day job, leading to less appearances by Donut in the show (at least before Season 16, where Joe Nicolosi decided to bring the character to the forefront, and Dan is even first billed in Season 17), and Dan not appearing at RTX and other conventions. He is married and has a son.
