In fact, prior to this episode, he was only 0 for 2, from HORSE 12 and HORSE 31, and did not participate in the first tournament.
Burnie is Blue in this episode - normally when members of the Red vs. Blue voice cast participate, they play the opposite color: Geoff and Gus, who voice Grif and Simmons of Red team, typically play blue in Horse; Joel, who voices Caboose, typically plays red. It's unknown if this is intentional or coincidental.
